Volunteering in India

Date

“Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.” – Mother Teresa, No-bel Peace Prize winner.

A volunteer is defined as “a person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking” and “a person who performs a service willingly and without pay”. At Mukti, we encourage our volunteers to walk with as we create freedom (mukti) for children from disadvan-taged background through education. We are inviting volunteers to register with us and travel on a short term visit to northern part of India. We are thankful to teams of Mukti volunteers who travel to North India to teach English to children through fun and games. Summer Mukti camps allows for volunteers to engage with children from disadvantaged background and help teach English to Indian children. There is nothing better that experiencing firsthand the difference education can make in the lives of children. We are grateful for the ongoing support and donating of both time and money that helps us to continue our work in India.
